Cake Turntable & Melamine Stands by RFAQK

Before RFAQK came along, decorating cakes was a time-consuming task. Bakers would struggle to evenly frost and decorate their cakes, often having to constantly reposition the cake or themselves to get the job done. It was a frustrating and unenjoyable process, to say the least.

But all of that changed with the invention of our revolutionary cake turntables and stands. These innovative tools allow bakers to easily rotate and access all sides of their cakes, making it a breeze to frost and decorate their creations. No more awkward contortions or constantly repositioning the cake. And when it's time to display and serve your baked masterpieces, our elegant stands add a touch of sophistication to any occasion.

Melamine Stands for Cake Display

Before RFAQK's melamine cake stands, cake decorators were limited in their display options. They had to rely on wobbly cardboard or plastic stands that were prone to collapsing under the weight of a fully-decorated cake.

But now, with RFAQK’s sturdy and stylish stands, cake decorators can let their creativity shine and present their desserts with confidence. In addition, the raised height of the stand makes it easy for the cake decorator to access all sides of the cake. Therefore, allowing them to easily add final touches and details.

Cake Decorating Turntable Sets

If you're a cake decorator, you know that sometimes, getting the perfect frosting coverage on a cake can feel like you're trying to pat your head and rub your stomach at the same time.

That's where RFAQK’s cake decorating turntable sets come in to save the day!

Our turntables are made with professional bakers in mind. With a smooth-turning base and a non-slip surface, you'll have total control over your cake as you work your magic. The rotary feature allows you to easily rotate the cake to the precise angle you need, making it a cinch to pipe on those delicate buttercream rosettes, write out a message in icing, or even use the turntable as a stable base while you stack and fill your layers.

So stop awkwardly contorting your body to reach every corner of your cake. Give RFAQK’s cake turntables a spin and watch your cakes go from homemade to professional in no time!

FAQs

How big should a wedding cake stand be?

The size of the cake stand you will need for a wedding cake will depend on the size of the cake itself.

  • A large three-tiered wedding cake on average measures 12 inches at the base and serves around 100 people. In this case, you will need a cake stand that is at least 13 inches in diameter to support the weight and size of the cake.
  • For a cake that serves 78 people with a base of 10 inches, a 12-inch cake stand would be suitable.
  • For a cake that serves 46 people with a base of 8 inches, a 9-inch cake stand would be appropriate.

How do you frost a cake on a cake stand?

To frost a cake on a cake stand, follow these steps:

  • Place the cake stand on a flat, stable surface.
  • Place the cake on the stand, making sure it is centered and stable.
  • Using an offset spatula or butter knife, spread a thin layer of frosting over the top and sides of the cake. This is known as a crumb coat and helps to seal in any crumbs.
  • Place the cake in the fridge for about 20-30 minutes to allow the crumb coat to set.
  • Once the crumb coat has set, apply a thicker layer of frosting over the top and sides of the cake, smoothing it out with a spatula or scrapers as you go.
  • Use the rotary motion of the cake stand or turntable to frost the cake evenly.
  • Decorate the cake as desired once the frosting has been applied.

How many cupcakes can fit on a cake stand?

On average, cupcakes measure 2 ½ inches in diameter on the top and 2 inches in diameter at the bottom. Cake stands or turntables typically have a plate size of around 11 inches in diameter. Based on these average sizes, you can fit approximately 5 to 6 cupcakes on a cake stand.
